Jean-Guy Vermette, known as "Vermet," is a self-taught painter with a figurative style, somewhere between illustration and naive art, whose works evoke the innocence and imagination of his childhood. Through his use of textures and bold colors, he creates dynamic compositions, often inspired by music, recognizable by their swirling notes and humorous "Coquettes." His canvases, imbued with lightness and joy, seek above all to bring smiles and happiness.
