ETHICS CODE FOR OSI MUSICIANS

In order to have even more fun rehearsing and to improve the sound of the orchestra, the musicians of the OSI agree to the following:

Rehearsals :

  • attend all regular and intensive rehearsals, except in cases of force majeure; never exceed 3 absences per session;

  • prepare for rehearsals according to the works on the calendar;

  • focus personal practice and musical performance according to the conductor's interpretation requests and the advice of section leaders;

  • in case of absence, notify your section leader at least 48 hours in advance and identify the replacement (for soloists);

  • check the messages that may be sent regarding rehearsals and in particular the schedule;

  • arrive early enough for rehearsals to start on time;

  • come to rehearsals with the scores of the works on the program; if a score is missing, notify the section leader before the rehearsal;

  • remain silent during the agreement of the different sections;

  • be attentive when the conductor addresses the musicians and note the performance indications in the scores;

  • respect the duration of the break;

  • If you are late, take your place once the orchestra has stopped so as not to disturb the musicians.

Dress rehearsals and concerts:

  • attend dress rehearsals, rehearsals and concerts;

  • Concert attire: all black. Those who wish may wear a black suit, white shirt, and black bow tie.

  • promote concerts.

*All new musicians will be briefly on trial.
