Here is a selection of our accomplishments, words of thanks that make us proud of our successes and some of our main collaborations that will allow you to better understand the role we play in the community.
PARTNERSHIP WITH CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY’S MUSIC DEPARTMENT
Each year, OSI and Concordia University hold a composition competition. The crowned work is then presented at the winter concert, offering the composer the unique opportunity to see his piece played by a symphony orchestra in front of public.
The winner of the 6th edition is Lucas Choi-Zimbel.

On November 30, some of our members had the opportunity to attend an OSI concert free of charge, and they were completely enchanted! With their heads full of music, they enjoyed an evening of discovery and the pleasure of being together. It was also the first time one of our members had attended a symphony concert, and she still talks about it to this day with stars in her eyes!
On behalf of the entire Alpar family, thank you for giving our members access to culture!

PROMIS, help for immigrants and refugees
Cultural outing for families new to Quebec at the Orchestre Symphonique de l'Isle on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
The cultural outing to the Orchestre Symphonique de l'Isle went very well. Guest families were from Saint Clément Ouest, Paul Gerin Lajoie, Saint Clément Est and La Mosaïque schools. They were accompanied by Tamara Momcilovic, the school liaison officer from PROMIS. The parents and children were truly grateful, and had a wonderful and memorable evening! They had the chance to visit the Orchestre Symphonique de l'Isle for the first time and enjoy Sergei Rachmaninov's ''Symphonic Dances''.

Amitié Soleil would like to thank the Orchestre symphonique de l'Ile, the members of the board of directors and the musicians for the tickets offered free of charge to vulnerable families of our organization of La Petite-ÎleBurgundy so that they can attend your magnificent concerts.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Hubert Tanguay-Labrosse, your new conductor and artistic director. It was a pleasure to see him lead and see how he has made the musicians evolve and progress. The pieces were brilliantly performed. It was impressive to see and listen to. I was deeply touched.
Once again, the Amitié Soleil families have had the opportunity to attend your concerts thanks to your generosity and commitment to those in need. I am very sensitive to the volunteer involvement of all the musicians of the Orchestre symphonique de l'Isle.
